Suikoden Tactics takes place in the same setting as Suikoden 4, merely a few years apart. It follows a similar (but slightly different) formula used in past tactics games, such as Ogre Tactics and Final Fantasy Tactics. This game can be by and far much more difficult than either one, especially over FFT. You don't need a firm grasp of the world Suikoden takes place in to enjoy this game. It has a solid story, as typical of Suikoden games, but at times it seems a bit less refined and polished than the main branch of the Suikoden series.
